Turn your day around in a reversible, upcycled basket hat with a big raspberry and maroon flower on one side and a bouquet of colorful re-imaged flowers on the other. Handmade with a repurposed copper-painted serving basket that is fixed on a black satin headband, this whimsical fascinator is easy to take off when getting in your car. It slips back on just as easily too, and because the embellished basket is cocked at a slight angle, a coiffed look is assured even when recrowning without a mirror.
Maroon Flower POWer Upcycled Basket Hat
The upcycled basket on this whimsical fascinator is finely woven and painted with metallic copper paint, that appears bronze. Its shape curves to a soft point neatly over the forehead and at the back of the head. Its edge and design holes are trimmed and woven with gold sequins and tie-dyed fishnet yarns. Both are raspberry-ish in color. The basket is uniquely embellished on all sides and is attached to an easy-on, easy-off, headband. For a completely new look in seconds, simply turn the hat around.
The reversible fascinator has on one side a huge maroon and raspberry re-imagined flower made of 2 fabric flowers. It has a light and airy layering of embossed, long, and shiny petals. Crowning the top is a big shiny hot pink bead or rather, a small Christmas bulb. Adding a touch of contrast to the flowers is a sprig of puffy green fabric leaves dotted with small, flower-shaped metallic gold beads. Turning the hat around, you'll find a cheerful assortment of colorfully re-imagined flowers in warm rusty orange to neon coral colors, handmade from deconstructed fabric flowers. They have rhinestones or wiggly beads at their centers. One has a tuft of white and silver tinsel tucked behind it.
The basket itself and all its embellishments are repurposed materials and perfectly imperfect findings saved from ending up in a landfill.
