These silk petal and daisy flower epaulets, with long whimsical tassels in shades of purple from lilac to lavender, are upcycled from raspberry bra pads, a fishnet chenille scarf, green yarn scraps, and a child's plastic bead necklace. The custom-sized* sparkly necklace that connects the embellished bra pads, fits over your head and the epaulets cup your small or medium shoulders naturally. Handstitched. One of a kind.
Shades of Purple, Upcycled Flower Epaulets
The pink and raspberry bra cups on these Shades of Purple, wearable art epaulets are textured with gold-threaded fuzzy fishnet. Silk flower petals in dusty lilac, crown the wired edge of each bra cup with a romantic and regal air. Tie-dyed purple cotton daisies backed by a wispy spray of green leaves made of crochet cotton, draw the eye to where tendrils of plastic beads along with ombre chenille tassels cascade approximately 9" down the arm. The gentle and comforting feel of long hair brushing your arms. The inner edge of the epaulets is finished with purple cotton grosgrain and a signed pink label. The cups fit small to medium size shoulders and the necklace that connects them is custom sized.*
A conversation starter, these whimsical epaulets, for goddesses embracing the wacky feminine, are artfully designed and handmade by Asheville artist Jennifer Dehner. They are upcycled epaulets, and except for the thread, are made with all used materials which have been cleaned, deconstructed, and repurposed, instead of ending up in the landfill.
Wear them for festivals, holiday parties, costume parades, or anytime you need a quick, and ridiculously over-the-top transformation of character.
No returns.
*For the perfect fit: measure between shoulders with a measuring tape. From inside shoulder bone across to inside bone on other. NOT outter edge! provide info in comments section upon checkout. No measuring tape? Use a string and then measure the string on a ruler.
Care: to fluff up the flowers use a tea kettle and steam lightly.
