A one of a kind, red and hot pink tiny hat with a big whimsical presence. Perfect for sipping tea at a tea party or for hunting eggs with your kids on Easter, this painted hat is upcycled mostly from repurposed kitchen trash.  A bouquet of flowers handmade from egg cartons bursts from the crown of a small round plastic bowl. Green fabric leaves plucked from a thrifted wreath and pearl white highlights add constrast and a bit of shimmer. It is finished with a neon pink lace hatband adding a touch of ridiculous delight to the headpiece and to your day.

Red & Pink Flower Tiny Upcycled Painted Hat

SKU: hatriceegg5
  • This whimsical red and hot pink painted hat shimmers with pearlized dots and edges. It is tiny, round and lightweight.  It was created from repurposed trash, and thrifted and salvaged items, that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill. The base and the flower bouquet are handpainted, inside and out, with acrylic paints and the small fascinator has been lacquered multiple times, making it water and scratch-resistant.*  The hatband is scrap fabric from a pirate wench skirt I made. Cock at a slight angle and secure it to your hair, wig, or even a knit cap with crisscrossing bobby pins** slipped through the green loops.

Handle with care. Hold hat sides, NOT by the brim or flowers.
Clean with a feather duster or spot clean gently with a soft cotton or bamboo rag and a drop of water. No chemicals, abrasive materials, or sharply pointed metals.

While this hat is lacquered and water-resistant, it is not necessarily waterproof. Cover it if caught in the rain or when near misters. If it does get wet, gently shake off water droplets, pat it with a tea towel, and set it to dry in the sunshine or in front of a fan on a low setting.
    Store in a dry place.

    Styling Ideas:

Looks great alone with hair twisted up into a sloppy bun or, worn on top of  a colorful wig, or a feathered or knit cap

Keep the silly look simple with a solid or floral patterned black, fuchsia pink or purple dress, pantsuit, or clown costume

For more dramatic occasions, pair it up with one of the matching upcycled festival skirts or a piece of upcycled jewelry
