Embellished with purple glitterball upcycled from dead fairy lights, on one side and dangling purple teardrops on the other, this reversible and upcycled basket fascinator presents two looks in one whimsical hat. It is handmade with 2 repurposed serving baskets, stacked and fixed on an easy-on, easy-off black satin headband, perfect for quick removal when say, getting into your car. And because the basket is cocked to one side, you can feel confident of a coiffed re-crowning even when without a mirror.

  • This whimsical fascinator is made with 2 oval wicker baskets that are stacked.  It is embellished with a whole lot of purple and pink ridiculousness and its curved edge falls softly over the forehead. The stacked baskets are attached to a black satin headband that makes turning the hat around easy, for a whole new look.

     

    The smaller top basket is embellished with a colorful and sparkling bouquet of purple, mauve, coral, and pink fabric flowers, with green leaves. The faux flowers are re-imaged with rhinestone and crochet, bead centers. On one side there are dangling iridescent teardrops with pearl ends, and on the other side, a large purple glitterball, salvaged from dead fairy lights, is framed in chunky plastic violet beads that are crystal-cut. There are even green and fuchsia-pink aquarium decorations on this silly reversible hat. The bottom edge is trimmed with a repurposed fuzzy mauve scarf,  scalloped shiny purple Mardi Gras beads, and upholstery fringe with pink tassels. 
    The basket itself and all its embellishments are repurposed materials and perfectly imperfect findings saved from ending up in a landfill.
