This piece of decorative metal art was inspired by the hard-working Cholitas I saw on a trip to Peru many years ago. My whimsical Cholita is taking a dance break on a beige linen background inside of a black wooden shadow box. She, like her live sisters, wears a hat and multiple skirts. She is handmade from jewelry components, coins, and beads in antiqued brass, silver, and vermeil gold. The upcycled jewelry bits etc are wrapped together with copper wire. one-of-a-kind.
